Nokia has confirmed that shipments of its much anticipated and much delayed, flagship handset – have begun – the Nokia N8. The first recipients are of course those people who have already ordered online or saved on Nokia.
Nokia caused a certain point to its World Expo in London earlier this month when it officially unveiled the handset, and are interested in talking the merits of the phone to buy. “With the N8 and the new Symbian software, we bring a familiar, fast and intuitive user interface, the world’s most popular smartphone platform,” said Jo Harlow, Senior Vice President of Nokia smartphones
“The Nokia N8 has received the highest amount of consumer pre-orders in the Nokia story and we look forward to the introduction of the N8 to start the first of the new Symbian-Smartphone Nokia range.” However, we at Pocket-lint were not all associated with the handset, if we get our hands on it already impressed in June. But this was a very early model, and we are confident that major improvements with the finished article.
Nokia are calling the N8 “the world’s best camera phone” because of his ability, HD video in the “highest clarity” and a 12-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics to shoot.
