Enjoy The Palm Pre Plus (Verizon)

April 8th, 2010

Palm Pre Plus Verizon 3 Enjoy The Palm Pre Plus (Verizon)When Palm introduced the Palm officially pre-Plus and Palm Pixi Plus at CES 2010, there was a complete surprise. Rumors two Verizon binding smartphones was circulating weeks before the concert, but this does not mean that we were not interested in the test products.

Pre-Plus, of course, the most interesting for both devices. It includes the design of accessories, such as keyboard update that improves the overall design and construction. Palm also strengthened the internal memory and RAM, providing performance smartphone improve the speed and capacity. If Sprint prior owners were not jealous enough, Verizon customers can also use pre-Plus, and Pixi same as the 3G mobile hot spot.

Now, Verizon added a lot of good smartphones on the line lately, so Palm Pre Plus, of course, will face stiff competition. But with its advanced features, combined with easier-to-use interface WebOS and large multi-tasking, we believe that this is an ideal device for the consumer who is looking for a smartphone to balance work and play, and who might find the Android and Windows Mobile too much. Palm Plus will be available prior to January 25, 2010, for $ 149.99 with a two-year contract and after $ 100 mail in rebate. Prices for Verizon voice plan was recently updated, and you can find the new rates are here, and the carrier’s unlimited data plan costs $ 29.99.

Design
At first glance, does not seem to be a noticeable difference between the Palm Pre-Plus and Palm PRE. Pre-Plus shares the same pebblelike shape and design of a slider and features a gorgeous 3.1-inch multitouch screen HVGA. Nevertheless, Palm has made minor changes in the design of the phone, which really improves the appearance and related equipment. For a start, he took center handle, which takes you on a deck of cards. The function is still there, but as Palm Pixi, it is integrated in a gesture so you have a more rational view, not to mention it makes for a seamless experience when you are swiping your finger from right to left, to return to the previous screen.

Palm also updated keyboard. Generally speaking, it is still small, and probably would give people with larger fingers some initial problems. Nevertheless, the company increased its key space travel and the buttons now give a more Clicky tactile feedback, instead of feeling clammy as the original prior, which made a huge difference when you enter. We did not feel slow soft keys, which allows us to create reports faster and with fewer errors. We asked a couple of prior owners of office to try it, and they certainly noticed the difference, and it was hard to hide his jealousy. Nevertheless, it would still be nice to have a virtual keyboard for those times when you use a smart phone in landscape mode and you want to enter text.

More smartphone is very much the same. Camera and flash are located on the rear panel. At the top of the device, you will find the power button, mute switch call, as well as the 3,5 mm headphone jack and Micro-USB port is located on the right side.
