Karma company Motorola QA1 slider goals directly to the social butterfly networks, enabling them to flit between Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and other services with minimal keystrokes.

Compact 3G/quad-band GSM phone, so far from AT & T Wireless ($ 79 after rebate with two-year plan), measures 3.5 by 2.5 inches and has a two megapixel digital camera / camcorder with 8-fold digital zoom, and Assisted GPS (AGPS) receiver. Short but serviceable QWERTY keyboard slides out of the 2.5-inch QVGA display.

Glass front panel (unlike the light plastic) gives the unit a little bit of weight and solid feel, but at 5 ounces, the device easily. Large icons home screen to identify social networks, which are accessed through a large button, and the QWERTY keyboard is large enough for comfortable writing a thumb. The keypad is built on the left side of the QWERTY array.

Multimedia features include large speakers, a digital music player that can play RealAudio files, support for streaming video, and a slot for removable storage capacity of up to 16 GB. There is also AT & T Navigator turn-by-turn street navigation application.

Text messages are stored in a conversation format that makes it easy to keep up with the thread number of messages, as well as the camera and the camera can be used to download the content of social services to the media.
