HTC Tilt2 (AT&T) Review

April 27th, 2010

After waiting in the wings, and customers AT T Business finally get their turn with the HTC Touch Pro2. Dubbed Tilt2 HTC (and, obviously, the successor to AT & T Tilt), a smartphone has a foot on the T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon and the shipping version of the smartphone with Windows Mobile 6.5 “out of the box.

Although no major overhaul of mobile operating systems, Microsoft, it is more user-friendly interface and several advanced features such as “My phone backup service, and Windows Marketplace. The equipment also improved significantly for Tilt with a sharp touch screen and first-rate QWERTY keyboard, as well as the combination of these two, of course, gives him an advantage over other smartphones, AT and T, such as HTC Pure, BlackBerry Bold and iPhone. The perfect little sad, and multimedia is not his forte, but it delivers as a business device. Tilt2 are available for $ 299.99 with a 2-year contract.

HTC Tilt2 HTC Tilt2 (AT&T) Review
Despite the different names, Tilt2 HTC instantly recognizable as a variant of Touch Pro2. He is the closest to an unlocked version of the smartphone, as it has the same speaker and the camera location on the back and a sexy edge chrome and smoke, mirror face. Unfortunately, Tilt2 postponed for one that we do not like about the unlocked model, and this lack of a standard 3.5 mm jack. Instead, you must use the included audio adapter to connect your favorite headphones or earphones. The adapter connects to the USB port on the mini bottom of the unit and sticks out a bit, so it is a bit cumbersome to install.

Another option is Tilt2 a full keyboard QWERTY. Instead, dedicated line number, as T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon and versions, AT & T requested that the top line will be set aside for the characters, while the rates of some double letter keys on the right half of the keyboard. While some may be jealous of these changes, we have not found it interfered with our typing. The figures clearly highlighted in blue, and you still get the same big buttons and space.

Other design features include Tilt2 volume control and Push-To-Talk key on the left side, touch-sensitive zoom bar below the display, as well as an expansion slot behind the battery cover. For more information about the design of the smartphone, please read our review of the HTC Touch Pro2.

In addition to audio adapter, AT & T packages Tilt2 HTC with the AC adapter cable, USB, extra stylus, a CD-ROM, as well as reference materials. Additional add-ins, please refer to your mobile phone accessories, ringtones, and help page.

The obvious advantage Tilt2 HTC compared with other versions of the carrier HTC Touch Pro2 is that comes with Windows Mobile 6.5 “out of the box. This means you have instant access to the Windows Marketplace for mobile devices, my phone is Microsoft’s backup service, as well as more Internet Explorer Mobile browser. The latter has always been a flaw in the operating system, Windows Mobile, but with 6.5, you receive a number of improvements, such as Flash Lite support and more effective tools for navigating through the pages. It is noticeably better than previous versions, but we still like to see more features such as tabs, buttons on the screen updates to the search page, and so on – all these features of the browser Opera Mobile, which, coincidentally, is Tilt2 so that you get to choose at his discretion.
