Enjoy The HTC HD2 – black (T-Mobile)

April 14th, 2010

It was a long wait, but HTC HD2 is now officially available from T-Mobile. Much like the unlocked version we reviewed in February, the smartphone offers great features such as a luxurious 4.3-inch capacitive touch screen, 1-GHz processor, snapdragon, and 5-megapixel camera. But T-Mobile sweetens the deal by preloading the device with tons of entertainment applications. However, the question is not so much whether the HD2 is huge (because), but is it worth getting, now that Windows 7 Phone series has been announced.

It is always a problem with the tech however, is not it? There’s always something newer and better just around the corner, but at the same time, waiting and waiting for the next big thing, sometimes you miss some really great devices, and it kind of how we relate to the HD2.(Obviously, some of you feel the same way as the HD2 channels are sold in many retail and did not have enough on T-Mobile to launch shopping day). Obviously, the size and older Windows Mobile 6.5 will turn off some people, but we believe the authorities HD2, and the fact that he can legally double as a multimedia device that makes it one of, if not the best smartphone in the lineup T-Mobile. HD2 T-Mobile HTC can be purchased for $ 199.99 with a two year contract and $ 449.99 with more Plus plan, which requires no annual contract.

Design
Do you have a subordinate to a particular brand or operating system, you have to admit that the design of HTC HD2 is pretty impressive. At 4.74 inches by 2.64 inches wide and 5.54 grams, the smartphone requires your attention, and we do not deny that this is a beast. In fact, we suspect, its size will be turning to some, it is not exactly the most handheld devices and quite a handful to hold while talking. Nevertheless, we must pay on merit. For HD2 packing in massive 4.3-inch touch screen, and all of its features and will remain only 0.43 inches is no small feat. In addition, the hardware feels solid with a mixture of stainless steel and soft cover.

Of course, what really makes HD2 stand apart from the sea with touch-screen smartphones is its display. 4.3-inch capacitive touch screen HD2 is the largest we’ve seen on a smartphone today. A pair of size with a sharp WVGA (480×800 pixels), and you have a wonderful mug. This bright, sharp and readable in various lighting conditions. Photos, videos, Web sites, as well as the message that everything is much easier to see, with the additional property. It is clear that T-Mobile saw the advantages of such a display and thus HD2 packed with tons of entertainment options that take full advantage of the screen (more on that later).

Virtual Keyboard also benefits from the large screen as portrait and landscape are spacious and very easy to use. As someone who prefers a physical keyboard, and it is difficult to adapt to the virtual, a spacious layout HD2 definitely made for an easier transition and allowed me to print faster than other keyboard on the screen. Moreover, T-Mobile offers HD2 Swype as an option.

Swype quickly become one of our favorite options from the perspective screen keyboard. It allows you to enter text by dragging a finger on the keyboard, from a letter to the letter, and not to peck at each key individually. In addition, automatically goes into space after the word and includes specific techniques, such as circling key to input the letter twice. We know it sounds a little crazy, and we definitely skeptical, but we were pleasantly surprised by the accuracy and efficiency Swype every time we use it. It often takes less time to write a message with Swype and errors are minimal. It’s a little harder when you set out longer words, but in general, we have sold, and even if you do not, you have a choice of other options for the keyboard.
