If you wanted to use a cell phone in the U.S. and abroad, we would usually recommend to you a quad-band GSM phone, if you have an AT & T or T-Mobile customer or a dual-mode CDMA /GSM phone were if you are a Verizon Wireless or Sprint customers were. So far the only dual-mode CDMA /GSM phone available in the U.S. is the RIM BlackBerry Bold, a more modern phone with many business applications obliquely, not to mention a high price. In an effort to diversify its World Phone Deals, Verizon with Verizon Wireless Escapade is pretty easy to come prepared by PKD.
Design
Measuring 3.9 inches long and 1.9 inches wide and 0.9 inches thick, the Verizon Wireless Escapade the appearance of a normal clamshell phone, except for its bright red skin. It is slim and elegant, with silver and black trim. The Escapade is very easy to 3.4 ounces and feels comfortable in the hand. On the front is an easy 1.1-inch 65,000-color external display. It shows the date, time, battery life, signal strength and Caller ID. It also supports photo caller ID, and you can use it as a viewfinder. You can set the clock format, and the wallpaper for the front display. On the left side of the phone are the volume rocker and headset jack and the charging jack, voice command button and the camera button on the right. On the back of the phone is the camera lens.
Flip up the phone, and you will find a nice 2-inch display with 262,000 color support and 176×220 pixel resolution. The display is handsome, with bright colors and sharp text readable. You can adjust the backlight time, the clock format on the standby screen, menu, layout and font sizes for the selected telephone numbers and menu text.
Below the screen, the navigation array, which opens in two soft keys, a four-way navigation switch with a central OK button, a speakerphone key and a dedicated messaging key, there is a new text message. The array is very flat on the surface of the phone, go with almost no differentiation between the keys with the exception of the navigation in the middle. The Send, Clear, and End /Power keys are part of the number buttons under, and that is quite flat on the surface of the phone. However, the numeric keys raised lines between the individual key, so there is some texture to dial by feel.

Photo quality was surprisingly good for a simple camera. Images looked sharp and vibrant, albeit with a slightly bluish tint. There is no camcorder in the Escapade. You can personalize the Escapade with a variety of wallpaper, graphics and warnings. It does not come with all the games. If you want more customization options and games, you can buy and download them from Verizon over the wireless Web browser.
Performance
We tested the Verizon Wireless Escapade in San Francisco with the Verizon Wireless network, and we were very pleased with the quality of the connection impressed. On our end, callers sounded loud and clear with a natural sounding voice. There was little static or noise in the background.
On their end callers could hardly tell we were on a cell phone. They said we came through crystal clear voice quality and quality was very close to the fixed network. Our voice sounded natural, and we went through automated voice response systems without question. Surprisingly, speaker phone, very good. Caller said the speakerphone quality did not sound much different than calling not on a speakerphone. There was no need to talk closely to the microphone for people who love to hear clearly. On our end, the speakers sounded fine: a bit hard and tinny, but not so bad.
