LG GD880 Mini Phone Review

March 9th, 2011

Technically it is not one, but the LG GD880 Mini has a number of smartphone-like features such as multitouch technology, over-the-air synchronization and a variety of social connectivity features packed in an attractive and stylish body. It’s a shame, it’s own S-Class User Interface LG questionable performance.

lg gd880 2 1 300x224 LG GD880 Mini Phone Review

With a combination of matte black and brushed metal, the LG GD880 Mini is certainly an attractive mobile phone. His flat edges and sharp corners give it a different look and feel of most other mobile phones on the market. We are generally a fan of the square, boxy design, but the edges tend to dig into your hand and pocket at times. Despite its name suggests otherwise, the LG Mini is a small smartphone, but the long and not too wide design sits neatly in the palm of your hand.

The LG GD880 Mini does not have an AMOLED display, but the 3.2in display is one of the brightest in its class, producing bright, vivid colors. The oddly shaped screen is tall and thin, making it appear smaller than it actually is. Viewing angles are pretty good, while the LG Mini’s performance in direct sunlight is reasonable, if not excellent.

The LG GD880 Mini runs a modified version of LG’s S-Class User Interface. The S-Class UI has always been attractive, but it is not always, been effective or a slick performer – unfortunately, it’s the same story with the Mini. In particular, we found scrolling hit and miss compared to the smoothness of the Apple iPhone and Android smartphones 4, while selecting certain icons or assignments often requires more than one finger tapping.

The main component of the S-Class is the three, customizable widget-based home screens. You can add some widgets, bookmarks and shortcuts to any screen, including RSS feeds, Twitter and Facebook apps and Google search bar. As a result, the interface is very flexible for a closed system. Widgets are limited and although you can download extra (such as Amazon and eBay shortcuts), the LG Mini GD880 obviously lacks the full range of applications available on smartphone platforms.

LG GD880 70410 164x300 LG GD880 Mini Phone Review

The graphics interface of the S-Class once again a rich, colorful and engaging, while the LG phone GD880 Mini offers a one-touch access to all contacts, including the ability to text message, video calling and email contacts from a single screen. SMS is a problem in the regular orientation, LG Mini GD880 has only a numeric keypad with T9 Text Input, while turning the landscape brings a full QWERTY keyboard with small keys. Although the haptic feedback helps, we would not recommend the LG Mini if you’re a heavy texter.

The LG GD880 Mini comes with built in Twitter and Facebook applications, and both have widgets that can be placed on the home screen. The apps are pretty basic, but offer access to most important functions, including status updates, tweet, setting favorite tweets, viewing your profile, comment on the status updates and sending private messages, more advanced tasks, including access groups, send the mobile browser.

The LG Mini GD880 has a 5-megapixel, autofocus camera, support for Microsoft Exchange e-mail, has a built-in GPS and your calendar, messages, e-mail, contacts and more about the air using free Air LG Sync service (which is currently in beta to sync). Unlike many previous LG phones, the Mini’s camera interface is snappy (especially given the limitations of the UI otherwise), making it easy to take a quick snap. A standard 3.5 mm headphone jack and micro USB port for charging or connecting to a PC are welcome features.

The LG GD880 Mini mobile web browser looks perfect on the bright display, but the smaller screen makes it difficult to choose the left. Multitouch technology means you can pinch the screen to zoom in as you can on the iPhone, but the process is not as smooth or effective; pages load noticeably slower than we’re used to – even via a Wi-Fi connection – and anti-aliasing is much longer than it should, contributing to a rather bad mobile web experience. The LG Mini has just 330MB of internal memory, but a side-mounted MicroSD card slot that supports cards theoretically up to 32GB.

LG KC910 Renoir Phone Review

February 21st, 2011

If you want a phone with a top notch camera, the LG KC910 Renoir will not disappoint. LG has always been a point of order to incorporate the latest technology and the handsets feature-filled. For KC910 Renoir, they left no stone unturned. It has the latest technology and connectivity to the world champs of camera phones. Together with the attractive display function KC910 Renoir is a high Flier.

lg kc910 2 227x300 LG KC910 Renoir Phone Review

Design and Dimension

The bright mirror finish shown on the phone is added to the glamor quotient. It is the slate form factor. Looking rather like an iPhone, the 3.0-inch touch screen makes the most of the front panel. It weighs 114 grams and size is 107.8 x 55.9 x 14 mm. The Renoir looks great, but is not counted on the slim genre.

Camera

If you are asked to score for the Renoir camera, a percentage would be nothing less than 8 to 10. The 8-megapixel camera does all the talking. The 3264 x 2448 pixels increases the image quality. With it, the new features are quite interesting. One of them is the touchscreen focus. With it, if you want to focus on a particular object, you can also simply by pointing to the screen. Other than that, there is the Blink Detection function that works just as well. The face tracking focus is there. 5 The DivX video codec used for video recording.

The screen

KC910 Renoir is blessed with a large 3.0 inch display. Screen all LG phones always define class. The same applies to the Renoir. The TFT touch screen is resistive. However, overall performance is not that hard and is as good as the capacitive ones. It has a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels and 256k colors. Flash user interface is included and an accelerometer sensor is used for automatic rotation. Wallpaper can be downloaded and applied.

Keys and controls

The touchscreen features a full QWERTY keyboard. Because of the touchscreen, the keyboard is also easy to handle. Longitudinal view of the QWERTY keyboard is also available. Among the 3.0 touch screen, there are three control buttons each for receiving and ending calls and the application launcher menu. Above the screen, there is the video call camera and ambient light sensor. On the right, there are two buttons for the camera. The camera lens is manually controlled.

Audio

The speakerphone is installed in the handset is quite powerful. The Renoir has Dolby sound, which works to her advantage. Dolby Mobile is not applicable to videos. The music is not over the top, and no equalizer settings are available. The Dolby sound enhancer works at a single click to improving sound quality.

lg kc910 1 300x278 LG KC910 Renoir Phone Review

Media

Image, media player, video playback, gaming, photo editing and much more are brought together with maximum efficiency in this unit. The screen is so fluid that flipping through the images is only natural. The image editor is excellent and feature filled. Face Beauty is the latest one option. It clarifies portraits and repair patches. The Smart Light feature is very useful. The music is average, but the video support is good. The LG Renoir can easily play the DivX files that were not played on the other end smart phones. The large screen makes it comfortable for playing games.

Internet

Although the Safari browser was excellent, the web browser in LG Renoir is not far behind. The liquid feels is inherited. The web pages are loaded quickly. The pages are cached. But the only problem is the zoom option. It is inaccurate, and sometimes fails to enlarge the portion of the selected page. To zoom an object, it is to be pressed and held together.

Usability and Performance

The Renoir is rich with multimedia capabilities. The design is conservative, yet sharp enough. Good care should be taken for this phone. Performance is commendable, so is durability.

LG Xenon GR500 Review

February 8th, 2011

The LG Xenon GR500 is a lightweight slider phone aimed at the texting generation. Unlike many sliders with a QWERTY keyboard, the Xenon is a full-blown touch-screen phone. It is designed to look like a bulky RAZR impersonator, complete with a little chin at the bottom. The Xenon also offers plenty of music, video and web browsing power.

LG Xenon GR500 4 LG Xenon GR500 Review

The Xenon is particularly small for a horizontal scroll bar. It weighs 3.8 ounces and measures 4.2 by 2.1 by 0.6 (HWD) inches. My test unit was finished in red (really more of a magenta) plastic with a chrome accent band around the sides. Blue and black versions are also available. The slide-out QWERTY keyboard felt cramped for what should be a broad horizontal layout. Part of that was due to the small keys and part was due to the symbol and function keys bracketing the letters on both sides.

The touch-enabled 2.8-inch LCD offers 240-by-400-pixel resolution and 65K color displays. Maybe it’s because of the limited color palette of the Xenon, but with 16 million colors on the palette Samsung Highlight on T-Mobile more attractive menu graphics had the same number of pixels. That said, the Xenon tabbed menu system is straightforward and easy to navigate.

The Send and End buttons respond with a good click, and a variety of shortcuts on the side to help with common tasks. You can also use widgets and shortcuts to the home screen. Choosing phone was simple. But the touch screen was a bit cocky in operation, with an excessive haptic feedback from the box. Numbers of the vibrations in the Settings menu helped. The built-in accelerometer also responded well, but it did not work in all modes, such as when browsing music and videos on my memory card.

LG mobile gr500 xenon black hero 01 large LG Xenon GR500 Review

The Xenon is a quad-band (850/1900/1800/1900 MHz) EDGE phone and a dual band (850/1900 MHz) 3G phone. That means you do not get high-speed data overseas due to the lack of a 2100 MHz band, but it’s not a big deal on an entry-level phone. Conversations sounded loud and clear in both directions, and 3G reception was very solid overall, including in rural areas. Interviews were also evident through a Bluetooth headset Plantronics Voyager Pro. The scratchy-sounding speaker is not powerful enough for outdoor use. Battery life was average at 4 hours and 21 minutes talk time.

Digging into the bundled applications, the IM client supports AIM, Windows Live and Yahoo accounts, but only showed my AIM buddies mobile. The clunky Java-based mobile email client hooks Yahoo, AOL, AIM, and Windows Live Hotmail, along with six or seven common ISPs, but not Gmail.

I am always amazed when a carrier of a mobile music features and then touts a proprietary headphone jack. WMA and MP3 tracks, including songs purchased from Amazon MP3 sounded sharp and detailed on a linked set of Motorola S9-HD Bluetooth headset. Unprotected AAC-encoded M4A tracks from the iTunes Store would not play. Video files, on the other hand, looked spectacular. The Xenon included smooth 320-by-240′s out, but it flickered and was choppy indoors. There’s 100MB of onboard memory, and the Xenon can up to 16GB microSD cards on the side. LG Ally Verizon Wireless Phone Review

December 23rd, 2010

In Android phones with a keyboard, is the undisputed king of the Droid. The LG Ally, and Verizon, do not change, but it makes the purchase of a Droid harder to digest.

The LG Ally is an odd listeners, spec’d through the roof in many respects to its 800×480 screen and excellent keyboard, with Android 2.1-while sorely lacking in other-be pokey 600MHz processor and spotted 3.2 megapixel camera, in particular .In a way, it is obviously better than the Droid. In more ways, but it can not compete.

LG Ally LG Ally Verizon Wireless Phone Review

Unspectacular Hardware

I’ve been using this phone for a while, and I still struggle to write about his design from memory, even if the memory is only seconds old. It is remarkably unremarkable, a harmless rounded piece of metal, glass, with a hint of rubber. It carries a typical LG-ish rounded series of buttons on the front, with its black frame, black body, black, black keyboard and black back plate mixture.

The Ally’s hard, but for its size, a bit thicker and not as close as the Droid-it does not feel too tight. I would try to call it masculine, but next to the droid and HTC Incredible, earning his conservative lines are not really exciting descriptors as “clumsy” or “da.”

There are a few outstanding features. I mentioned the screen, which is a wonderfully dense 800×480 unit, somehow squeezed all the pixels in 3.2-inch diagonal inches, which makes this one of the high-resolution displays that I’ve ever seen on a mobile phone. Font rendering is noticeably spotless, and you can zoomed out text on the desktop web site for all to read in portrait mode. It is as if the display is not made of pixels.

Surprisingly, not in daily use of the image quality is so important-reading text is a bit more pleasant than it be on a SVGA phone like the iPhone or HTC Hero, but it’s not always easier. The hardware features go, this is an advantage. The ad does not seem to be much of a burden on the battery, which saw me through an average day, slightly useful, and until the next morning.

lg ally verizon 2 LG Ally Verizon Wireless Phone Review

But even in brilliant luminosity of the display, the Ally’s outstanding feature is by far his keyboard, a well-laid out, deceptively compact model with enough distance, well angled rear buttons and feedback. It is a joy compared to the irritating flat QWERTY Droid, and it is the only feature that I could see, lure away users of a droid if used side-by-side, how many will be in Verizon stores. But on its own, it is not enough.

Vulnerabilities

The Ally’s 600MHz MSM7627 Qualcomm CPU is not the task of driving an Android 2.1 phone, even though I could have told you before I even used this handset, since the same processor is used in another, much less ambitious piece of hardware that the Palm Pixi: was panned for its inertia. (The Droid processor runs at a similar rate, but the architecture is not really comparable, and in each case the performance is much better.) App starts up fast enough and not really hang the device, per se, but it is not responsive. It is 2010. Our phones should not be surprised if we act to touch them.

The camera measures of light fairly well, and make usable shots the most part. It seems to rely a lot on the image processing, however, and when the shot is not good natural light, you can use the telltale blur of aggressive noise reduction software.

The software

Again, the Ally is a frustrating trial. On the one hand, there is an almost vanilla from Android 2.1, it can run any application on the App Market, unlike some phones like the Motorola skinned swallow that often build an Android version or three behind is how their makers struggle to modernize its customs skins to keep pace with Google’s release schedule. But that does not mean that LG does not interfere a bit.

lg ally black 4 LG Ally Verizon Wireless Phone Review

LG’s has here is a device issue, have seen above, and a handful of applications, including a social media aggregator, you probably do not need, so as Android’s Twitter and Facebook integration and applications touch only good, better. The changes are subtle, but they are still changes.

Android is best when it is pure, and if anything between the scaffolds, which pisses Google software update always an interesting few months and your cell phone. Any carrier or manufacturer add-on is additional delay in upgrades. And then, how little the OS mods here do not care what’s the point? (Lousy Branding. branding, I would say.) Otherwise, the Ally is Android 2.1, warts and all. And in case you were wondering, this handset ships with multi-touch.

LG Quantum AT&T Phone Review

December 10th, 2010

The launch of Windows Mobile 7 has been welcomed with open arms and adulation of consumers around because of its fresh new look, responsiveness, and the complete reinvention of a Windows operating system on a mobile scale. But compared to the majority of the existing pack of Windows Mobile 7 smartphone, separates the LG C900 Quantum itself ever so slightly by being the only one that sports a landscape-style QWERTY keyboard.

Design:

Even after looking on the LG Quantum a few times, it is quite significant that the design does not necessarily take precedence over the seductive look of his brand-new mobile platform. Instead, their approach is far too common, as it lends to previous designs handsets with its predominantly soft-touch paint exterior featured metallic accents and back cover. After him there was no hiding the nature of the weight (6.21 oz), it is packaging as it looks a bit more bulky (0.60 cm thick) compared to the streamlined nature of something like the Motorola Droid 2 . However, the solid construction of a sense of resistance in defense of the adverse effects of normal wear and tear.

1 LG Quantum AT&T Phone Review

The LG Quantum employs a brilliant 3.5″ TFT display is also looking thanks to WVGA (480 x 800) resolution. Basically, it is able to provide enough visibility with even the smallest text and colors that retain their natural colors almost any angle. In addition, the level of responsiveness accurate enough for the registration of subtle touches and complex gestures. Although we are not particularly need to be satisfied with its brightness issue as it is still protected from direct sunlight. It is almost impossible to accidentally press either the capacitive buttons, back and look for keys because they spaced so far apart. As for the Home key, which is an actual physical one, is to place right in the middle-ground installation – but it’s feeling pretty difficult to see that it is almost flush with the surface.

We are quite pleased with the lively opening and closing mechanism of the handset as it locks firmly into uncovering his 4-row keyboard. Despite the somewhat flush with the surface, the buttons are large enough to distinguish it from a finger size. In addition, managed decent tactile feedback has it on tap speed, without allowing much of a break or malfunction. However, we find it strange that the shift and function keys that are recessed and hard to press are separated from the rest of the keyboard on the left.

The micro-USB port is located behind a plastic flap on the left side of the phone hidden, while looking for the thin volume rocker and two-plane shutter button are located on the right. Unfortunately, there are some difficulties in the distinction, and they provide a lack of response when pressed. At the top we are greeted appropriately placed on the 3.5 mm headset jack and dedicated power switch – the latter of which shares the same are distinguished from the other buttons. Turn on its back, we find the 5 megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash in his usual place, while the speakerphone grill hugs near the bottom edge. Interface and functionality:

Packing the usual amount of heat with 1 GHz processor under the hood, the LG Quantum will not depart from the Windows Phone 7 experience we have seen with other handsets. In fact, it is not accompanied miss a beat when navigating through the new platform, as it can with a responsive and fluid performance, showing his speed unanimously. With the Home screen, you will arrange them in a position to live new tiles to your liking and even the color to a certain theme personalization to add the handset. As we mentioned in previous reviews, including some of the tiles aggregate a variety of content, status updates and photos will give that dynamic appearance of competing with other platforms.

Now only inconsistent point, we visit the Quantum is the fact that not all aspects of the platform are optimized to be viewed in landscape mode. Of course, relevant things like messaging or Internet Explorer to automatically adapt applications for a landscape image, but in sticking with the home screen and Zune experience in portrait mode only. It is understandable to see a unified experience across all devices in the moment, at first, but hopefully future updates will be taking into account the landscape that use the keyboard most packaging equipment. If you do not happen to a Hotmail or Windows Live account, you are still able to sync contacts from Gmail and Facebook accounts. In addition to the usual contacts seeing information like phone numbers and e-mails, you can check their social network status through the “People” hub.

Granted that it is the convenience of a physical keyboard, the messaging experience with their on-screen Ones is more than acceptable offer not managed. Space could become a factor with the portrait option, but it does not affect the overall responsiveness when typing quickly with few errors. However, the landscape option address the space issue, as it proves a worthy alternative to the physical. E-mail setup is a snap with the LG’s constant, since it will automatically popular clients such as Gmail or Yahoo, to the device by simply providing a username and password. In some cases it will require additional information, such as server addresses, ports set up correctly. Although it lacks a universal inbox, you can select specific accounts to the home screen for quick access pin.

Facebook and Windows Live integration is seen with the LG’s constant, that status messages to both accounts mail by the “Me” hub set. In addition, the “people” hub aggregates content in a central location and provide you with answers to specific messages to post without a dedicated app. Yes, it’s nice for the moment, but it is the lack of support for other social networking services like Twitter and MySpace.

Again, we see AT &T’s presence in the LG Quantum with applications such as AT &T Golf vacation, AT &T myWireless, AT & T Navigator, AT &T Radio, and AT& T U-verse Mobile. Apart from that, the only application on the handset that is not common, the platform LG’s very own “Play To” app – and this is basically a DLNA service. However, a stroll in the market, you will be subject to an option for the LG Apps Store, the courts to apps that are exclusive to LG phones.

Camera and Multimedia:

Most users will probably warm up and a preference for the average looking shots, with 5-megapixel autofocus camera Quantum LG are produced. In situations where the lighting is abundant, it is to catch some good-looking graphics, but the colors tend to have a darker tone to them. Despite the not so well casing in low light conditions with its fine details and natural colors visible reduction, it is likely to tolerate still acceptable for some. However, the proposed LED flash to correctly illuminate figures that are even very close.

With its high specification, it is only fitting to find 720p video capture board with the smartphone. A question that is we use the handset as it abruptly exposure during recording – which inevitably are in a constant thing you fight. In addition, details are fuzzy, because there is some evidence of artefacts with their recording. Likewise, it is also a crackling sound of his audio recording. Finally, it is possible to chug a frame rate of 24 frames per second, which is somewhat smooth visuals jerky from some other phones in comparison looks like.

The Zune experience is in full effect, of course, as a polished presentation provides that accent your taste in music. In addition, the normal ranges shown when playing a song – like the album cover, track information and controls on the screen. But we are not satisfied with the tense and crackling sound of the tone of its speakers, which makes it more irritating to the ear emits.

Watching high-definition video on the LG Quantum is no problem, as there is a movie trailer in DivX-encoded 1280 x 720 resolution managed to play without a break. And thanks to its relatively large display, we are more than satisfied with his smooth video, which hindered by any obstacles in the way of. So do not be afraid to use it on long journeys because to do it then disappointed for a friendly companion who is not with providing much entertainment.

Internet connectivity:

Bringing it along on your international escapades should not be a problem with this quad-band GSM (850/ 900 /1800 /1900 MHz) and tri-band UMTS (850/ 1900/ 2100 MHz) device. And in case you did not have sufficient data speeds, you can focus on its use 802.11 b/ g/ n WLAN for a faster connection. Finally, it is possible to pack Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR, a mix of wireless devices to connect.

For something that is still new to the game, the Internet Explorer exceptionally polished than other Web browsing solutions available on the market. In fact, there is a feeling of speed and responsiveness, his instinct has a stellar experience to illustrate. Complex pages load in a decent amount of time and do it right, but it is fantastic with smooth leaves and support for multi-touch gestures adds zoom in out. All in all, surfing the Internet more than satisfy even the veterans are mobile users, the only notable absence, his flash support.

Performance:

Place the volume to its loudest setting there is a considerable amount of noise that is heard by their listeners. It goes without saying that it muddies talks, but it does not help when voices have a silent tone to them. Fortunately, our callers have no problems understanding our natural-sounding tones. But in using the speakerphone, its output is distorted, which makes voices sound muffled.

Position with a solid 8-hour working on normal use the battery life of the LG Quantum is pretty average, considering that it offers a whole day for light users. For those power users, do not be too surprised to constantly charge your phone is always the opportunity. The manufacturer has evaluated for 6 hours of talk time and 350 hours standby time.

Conclusion:

If you really despise via touch-only input options, then the choice for Windows Mobile 7 devices on AT&T lineup, especially on the LG Quantum limited, for now. However, the opposition may not experience with the platform optimized for landscape an obstacle for some. However, it proves to be offering is a decent, since it accentuates all the essential aspects of that Windows Mobile 7. Is it coincidence, a quantum leap over conventional devices? Obviously not. But it still represents a well-rounded experience that offers the added convenience factor of a physical keyboard. Sure, if you are looking for a WP7 device on AT &T’s lineup, your alternatives to the LG Quantum are the HTC Surround, which provides the special feature a powerful speaker has, and Samsung Focus – even a well-rounded smart phone with a brilliant Super AMOLED display.

LG Encore AT&T Phone Review

December 7th, 2010

LG has recently launched the Encore, a feature-rich touchscreen phone for the AT&T released  Wireless network. The Encore is designed to buy a touchscreen phone option for those who can not afford, or may not want to be a true touch screen smartphone. That’s not to say that the Encore a knock-off, it’s a perfectly good phone in its own right, but at first glance you may think that the LG Encore much more than it actually is. The Encore has a lot to offer, but it’s a bad side to navigate this phone as well, as it is hard sometimes, and it can be sent with a frustrating experience.

Design

The LG Encore measures 4.17 inches long, 2.10 cm wide and 0.47 inches thick, making it similar in shape and a little leaner than many touch screen phones on the market. The casing around the phone is made of plastic, and as the Encore weighs only 3.7 ounces, it feels a little light in the hand. It does not necessarily feel cheap, but with the help of stronger and heavier materials LG could have made the device feel more stable in the hand.

The most important, is only good drive mechanism of the LG Encore, the 3-inch touchscreen that dominates the front of the phone. The screen TFT LCD 260K colors that can display at a resolution of 400 x 240. The colors look decent but not great, and the text could stand to be a little more sharply. With the LG Encore in direct sunlight is not recommended. At the bottom of the screen you have three static touch keys, under the same glass as the display with the phone a good look.

At the top of the LG Encore, see a power button and a 3.5mm headset jack. On the left you have the volume buttons and the mini-USB charging port, while on the right side you see a camera button and a menu button to find. On the back of the phone, only the color of brushed metal and the camera battery compartment.

User Interface

The touch screen of the LG Encore is not capacitive, as it would on a high-end phone, but resistive. This helps, from the cost of the device, but makes it much more difficult to use. Sometimes you have to press very hard to get the phone to recognize your selection, and the phone sometimes makes choices as you try to move your finger across the screen. If this was one of the first touch screen devices released years ago it would be acceptable, but after using many other phones with better touch screen that Encore just do not work very well.

LG Encore LG Encore AT&T Phone Review

The main screen of the LG Encore has three pages that you can customize the home in a way. The left page is for contacts, is the center for widgets side and the right side for quick access. Editing of pages, and navigating through the pages is fairly simple with no real hiccups by the phone. At the bottom of each screen you have four permanent shortcut keys to access the phone contacts, messages, and the main menu. You can also pull down a tab, audio and connection information, and links to some applications.

It is fairly easy to find out, where everything is on the Encore and navigation between screens is easy and fast. There is the occasional hang-up when opening some applications, such as the browser, but that’s to be expected in this type of phone and is not unusual.

Features

The LG comes with Encore AT &T’s mobile email service that accelerates the set up process and allows you to receive most of your e-mail in a single application. The phone also supports MMS and various forms of instant messaging. To top off the experience, comes the phone with AT &T Online Net application that you interact with Facebook, MySpace and Twitter all through the same application.

The Encore is a 3-megapixel camera that takes decent pictures, but they’re nothing special. The colors look a little pale and are included to make even with all the camera controls, which was in the camera application is difficult, really good pictures. The camera also allows you to record video, the image has similar issues.

The LG Encore comes with a large number of pre-installed applications such as AT & T Navigator YPmobie, WikiMobile, and MobiTV, along with some demo games. If these applications is not enough you can always download more  AT& T’s AppCenter. The Encore also has a few small features such as calendar, alarm clock, calculator and stopwatch. The phone also supports Bluetooth technology with A2DP support, and comes with a speakerphone.

Performance

Call quality on the LG Encore is passable. The service performed well, with the mobile phone is always a strong signal. It’s a little distortion from the receiver, but nothing, not what is present in almost all mobile phones. The quality of the speaker phone was generally poor, with enough distortion to make it difficult to hear the other person, but some calls were better than others so it is hard to grasp is the problem.

The data speeds on the phone were very good, loaded with web pages faster, and online video are expected in about as good as on a low-end mobile phone. The videos were not clear, but they played without pause a ton and the quality was good enough to enjoy the video. LG claims that the battery last for about 3 hours and it did, and everything in the tests.

Conclusion

If I could be the LG Encore in a bubble post it would probably rate a little higher because it has a good amount of features and limited to a few areas of disappointment. Prices are discounted, the Encore is too simple short. If free AT &T per drop the price, however, I think that would be a decent phone for this kind of price point.
