The Samsung Gravity was one of the first messaging T-Mobile phones, and while we like it, they do not have a lot of features. It had no 3G, no GPS, and only a 1.3-megapixel camera. But its sequel, according to synchronize the Samsung Gravity 2, all fixed. The Gravity 2 not only has 3G, GPS and a 2.0-megapixel camera, is thinner and slimmer than its predecessor.
Design
The Samsung Gravity 2 retains the same design as the entire Samsung Gravity. It has a candy bar look when on the front and slides to the right, considered to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard. However, it is slightly smaller and thinner at 4.5 inches long by 2.1 cm wide and 0.6 inches thick (at the 4.53 inches of 2.07 inches by 0.7 inches compared measurements on the Samsung Gravity) , the keyboard layout is slightly different, and the display is 2.3 inches diagonally, instead of 2.1.
Speaking of display has support for 262,000 colors with a pretty nice QVGA 240×320 pixel resolution. The screen looks bright and lively, showing, from the colorful animated images. You can use the menu interface to either adapt a grid style or circle style. Other display settings display brightness, backlight time, and the election. For the latter, you can type, size and font color of choice, and the color of the background when you dial. You can also change the greeting on the home screen.
The navigation array on the Samsung Gravity 2 differs significantly from the first Gravity. Instead of simple rectangular buttons indicate the level 2′s array is a mixture of tiny buttons and large circular. The two soft keys, the special messaging key and the delete button are all small, while the chic, you are OK, and the End Power keys large. While we were OK with the big round buttons, we found the little ones a bit hard to press without the aid of our fingernails.
The above messaging button can be assigned to one of the five functions – a new message, a shortcut to the messaging in-box, a new audio-postcard, the e-mail interface or the instant messaging menu. There is an outer circle around the OK button, which acts as a navigation change. If the home screen, the lead up and down directions of the toggle to the call list and the list respectively. They look left and right through your five T-Mobile MyFaves contacts.

Under the Navigation array is the number keys, which is well distributed with keys that are rising above the surface, so it is easy to choose by feel. You can choose to type text messages using the numeric keys as well, but it is much easier to type with the slide-out QWERTY keyboard. On the left side of the spine Gravity 2 is the volume rocker, while the charger/ headset jack and the camera button on the right side. The camera lens and external speaker are on the back. The microSD card slot is poorly located behind the battery cover – it is on the right side of the phone with the SIM card.
If the phone 90 degrees counterclockwise and slide it into your phone, you’ll have a full QWERTY keyboard. The orientation of the display switches automatically from portrait to landscape as soon as it slides out. Accompanying the keyboard are two soft keys are used when the screen is in landscape mode. There are arrows on the bottom right corner for navigation, and a special key OK, a Shift legend and a. Com www key, which is handy for entering URLs. The keyboard is overall very spacious, with raised keys that make for a fast and responsive SMS.

We were also surprised that the Gravity 2 comes with a decent full HTML browser. It supports JavaScript, and a version of Flash Lite, which allow us to streaming videos from YouTube. The Gravity 2 small screen size was not too great for surfing the Web, though, we had to scroll and much more, especially in large Web sites. Resize pages was a pain, and how to use the magnifying glass, zoom controls, the number of button presses was required. On the whole, however, we were glad that the Gravity 2, a HTML browser ever has. It is definitely uses the Gravity 2 speedy 3G.

We were also pleased that the Gravity 2 comes with a slightly better camera, a 2.0 megapixel instead of 1.3 megapixels on its predecessor. It can take pictures in four resolutions (1,600 x1, 200, 1,280 X960, 640×480, and 320×240), three quality settings, five white balance presets and five color effects. Performance
We tested the quad-band (GSM 850/ 900/ 1, 800/ 1900; UMTS/ HSDPA) Samsung Gravity 2 in San Francisco using T-Mobile network. We were very pleased with the quality of overall satisfaction. On our side we could hear our callers clearly and practically no static or noise. Their voices sounded very natural too. On their end callers were very satisfied with the quality impressed. They said our voice sounded clear and natural, although they had a bit more volume at times like to have. In free mode, we thought our callers sounded a little tinny, but with much volume. Callers could hear us loud and clear as well, but with a heavy echo effect and a low hum in the background.
We were also impressed with the 3G speeds. We have managed a complete HTML page as our front page in about 15 seconds of load, for example. We also had no trouble, a 3G signal in our neighborhood in downtown San Francisco. We also managed to stream videos with no buffering time. Nevertheless, streaming video quality seemed grainy and choppy.

The audio quality from the speakers was all right, but nothing spectacular. The bass was a bit too bright and the music sounded a whole hard. We would recommend a headset for better sound quality. The Samsung Gravity 2 has a rated battery life of 5.5 hours of talk time and 12.5 days of standby time. It has tested a talk time of 5 hours and 55 minutes. The FCC tests, the Gravity 2 a SAR of 0.547 watts per kilogram.
